EURO 2012

UEFA will set the price of tickets

The prices of the Euro 2012 tickets in Ukraine will be adjusted to the Ukrainian economic conditions. The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Borys Kołesnikov, has underlined that this decision was made by UEFA.

The prices of tickets will be based on the minimum Ukrainian salary. With this decision the President of UEFA would like to prevent the black market and, first of all, make the championships available for the average Ukrainian citizens.

The talks between the Organizers and the UEFA representatives are still on. Adam Olkowicz, vice-president of the Polish Football Association responsible for organization of Euro 2012 has assured that in no circumstances may the prices of tickets in Poland and Ukraine differ. It has already been decided that there will be three price categories. The prices should be equal to those from the 2008 European Championships or lower.

Project "Euro 2012" is addressed to participants, visitors and football fans coming to the European Football Championship, which will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine in the summer 2012.

Apart from logistical support (accommodation, travel, stay) the participants will need practical language guide and cultural information package, helping them to participate in Euro 2012 and move in hosting countries without communicative barriers.

The aim of the project will be to develop comprehensive didactic materials related to Polish and Ukrainian languages and culture: on-line language courses and practical information guide tending to present their specific features.
